For payments related to the Territory Election Campaign: By making a payment and/or donation to the Liberal Party of Australia (ACT Division), you affirm that you are not a prohibited donor under the Electoral Act 1992 (ACT) and that your details may be disclosed to Elections ACT to comply with funding and disclosure laws in the ACT. For payments related to the Federal Election Campaign: By making a payment and/or donation to the Liberal Party of Australia (ACT Division), you affirm that you are not a foreign donor under the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 (Cth) and that your details may be disclosed to the Australian Electoral Commission to comply with funding and disclosure laws . Donations by individuals to registered political parties of between $2 and $1,500 in a financial year are tax deductible. Gifts and receipts of money, which cumulatively total more than $1,000 in a financial year may be required to be disclosed to Elections ACT in line with the requirements of the Electoral Act 1992 (ACT). Amounts received by the Liberal Party of Australia (ACT Division) of more than $16,900 in the 2024-25 financial year will be subject to disclosure under the provisions of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918. The Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 prohibits the knowing receipt of donations from foreign donors. |
